Upcoming Concerts

I’ve actually got the opportunity to attend a couple of major concerts over the next week and a half or so. First, Saturday night Christy and I will be going to see the Booth Brothers in Union City, TN. Then next Friday night, Aug, 12, my church will be hosting (I can’t believe I’m typing this) Gold City at 7:00. As always there is no admission charge and a love offering will be taken. If you see my wife and I at either concert, say hi and let us know you read the blog.
I will have concert reviews and pictures from both concerts, and I’m hoping to be able to live blog both of them via the blog’s Twitter account. I haven’t done that in a while, so I will give it a shot and see how it goes. If you aren’t following the blog on Twitter, the site is http://www.twitter.com/BurkesBrainwork. Oh I would love to see Gold City at Faith Baptist but I work until 9 every other Friday and of course that is my day to work. I have attended several concerts there and always enjoy it very much. I know Gold City will be awesome.
I was hoping you would be at the Paid In Full 20th anniversary concert in New Albany, MS on Saturday. That may be as close as I get to your stomping ground in the foreseeable future.

My mother in law was just telling us about the Paid In Full concert. It’s a shame it is on the same night, I’d have liked to have gone to it. You’re making quite a drive to get that close to Memphis! Would have been nice to have met up at it!

Woo-hoo! Looking forward to a review of the Booth Brothers concert. I hope to have a review of their latest project up within the next couple of weeks.
