Jerry Pelfrey To Replace Craig West With Gold City

Brandon gets the news scoop this time.  Gold City has hired Jerry Pelfrey as their new lead singer.  Brandon also unearthed some clips of Jerry singing with his family group, and has been mentioned in several places, his voice is definitely reminiscent of Ivan Parker during Gold City’s heyday in the 80s.  Jerry will actually making his debut appearance with the group at NQC tonight!

    Tonight? Or tomorrow night?

Assume Friday as that is when Gold City is on the schedule next. I was surprised Monday by the number of folks in my area of the audience who left during the Gold City performance. Personally I was not impressed by the group but then the main versions of Gold City I saw in the past had Brian-Ivan and then Jonathon-Jay. I was told by a performer in another group that they had improved since Dan Keeton joined them. I had not heard in person the tenors after Jay.

Dan is awesome! Next time you get to talkin’ to him or Danny ask either of them to tell you about Dan’s road to singing tenor for GC..you’ll appreciate Dan even more. Great, Great Tenor!

  3. Jerry Pelfrey is an outstanding vocalist with a wide range and a Parkeresque sound! Get ready to be impressed once he gets fully acclimated to the group.
