A Brian Free & Assurance LP??

You read that right.  Daywind recently released a best of CD of the group, called A Season To Remember.  If you go to the group’s website, they are offering a special combo of a CD and yes, and LP of the greatest hits project.  People have frequently complained about the computerized/robotic sound of recent BFA albums.  What better way to counteract that than with a vinyl release!  Who said vinyl is dead?

WARNING: If you attempt to access the site at work, TURN DOWN YOUR VOLUME FIRST! Their site is one of the sites that automatically plays music (slightly annoying IMHO) and the entire office will know that you are cruising a website instead of actually working.

  2. Well…it will only sound good if it’s fully mastered for LP. Different techniques are used to finalize / master / equalize sound for LPs than for CDs.

I’ve heard some each way over the last few years.

  3. Yeah, I was gonna say, won’t the songs just sound the same? Maybe I don’t know much about vinyl.

  4. Okay, that was weird—my last comment showed up here, but for some reason I didn’t see it in “Recent Comments.” *scratches head*
