YouTube Clip #41 – “He Loves Me”

Since it’s Thanksgiving week, indulge me a little as I share one of the things for which I’m most thankful. Those of you who have been readers for any length of time know that my family is incredibly important to me. Yesterday morning at church, we surprised my parents by having my son Wesley (5) and my daughter Erica (3) sing a special with me. They’d done a duet in our children’s Christmas cantata last year, but this was their first time to sing on a Sunday morning.

Now I’m not a tenor, never claimed to be, but my kids LOVE the N’Harmony version of “He Loves Me.” Since it’s a fairly simple song, it was a perfect choice for them to sing. One night last week, I went to the church and recorded a simple soundtrack on my keyboard and practiced with the kids.  Here’s the video of how it turned out yesterday morning.

What am I thankful for?  A wonderful family that loves and fears God.  I love my kids.  Enjoy.

How precious!!! I love the way your daughter rested her elbow on your leg!

Thanks Diana, we got a kick out of that too. You can’t really see it on the video, but right before she started singing, she looked up at me and gave me one of those huge, face and nose scrunched up grins. Too cute! She’s definitely not mic-shy…
