Marion Snider Passes Away

According to this story on the Singing News site, Marion Snider has passed away at age 96.  Snider was one of the last remaining pioneers of our genre.  As mentioned in the story, he was the pianist for the original Stamps Quartet.  Also notable was that Snider formed the original Imperial Quartet.  When Jake Hess formed the Imperials in 1964, he called Marion Snider to obtain his permission to use the name.  Prayers and condolences are extended to his family as they grieve.
