Perfect Heart Is Back!

According to Aaron Swain’s blog, Mike Presnell is bringing back Perfect Heart. The group already has a website, and personnel are Wesley Anders – tenor, Jimmy Dunn – lead, and Tommy Smith – baritone. Smith is a former member of Cross4Crowns. Based on the clips that are on the website, these guys have a really nice sound, and the lead singer is a bit reminiscent of Dale Shipley. Count me in as one glad to see the name Perfect Heart back!

  1. Wes, I’ll say here what I said on Daniel’s blog:

Jimmy Dunn (who I love to hear) sounds NOTHING like Dale Shipley. They have COMPLETELY different styles. I think the Christmas project is a re-release of the old Perfect Heart’s “Light Of The World”.

Brandon, that may be so…and on a second listen, I really couldn’t tell if it was the lead or baritone. But someone on the “Carol Of The Bells” on the site sounds like Shipley! 🙂

  3. Wes, I had only listened to the “Mary Wrapped A Present” track when I posted.

After listening to the samples on the main page (including “Carol Of The Bells”), I am 99.99999% sure that is the “old” Perfect Heart.
