It’s Over! It’s Finally Over!

Brett Favre was traded to the Jets last night.  All I can say is “It’s about time!!!”  Now can we PLEASE see something else on ESPN and talk about something else on sports radio?  This whole situation has been the biggest media circus and the biggest farce I think I’ve ever seen.  The Packers have Aaron Rodgers, the Jets have Brett Favre, now let’s MOVE ON.  Of course, we’ll have to have 3 days of “in-depth” analysis of the trade first.  Joy.

Falcons have their first pre-season game Saturday. I’m curious how they will look without their TE and RB from last year.

Wow, another Falcons fan! I didn’t know there was another SG-Falcons fan in existence.

I live in Chattanooga (born & raised), and even though we have the Titans in Tennessee now, I’m still a Falcons fan. When I was growing up, the local station always showed the Falcons game on Sunday, so I stuck with them even though they’ve pretty much always been pitiful.

I’m still probably the only NY Jets fan in Tennessee. 😦

I like Brett Favre and respect his decision to continue playing with the hapless Jets. However, Brett Favre has no idea what he has gotten himself into. The New York media is NOTHING like the Green Bay media which treated him like a legend and icon for many years. A few bad games (and there will be many of those) the media will be in his grill and poor Brett will quickly question WHY he came out of retirement. Good luck Brett!

volscot- I live in the Augusta area so I have to pull for the home state NFL team. Lucky for us we still have UGA to pull for and they do well.

Nate – I can’t go there with you on the dawgs. I’m a Volunteer through and through, hence the name: Vol-Scot.

I spent six years of my life (not to mention thousands and thousands of dollars!) at the U of Tennessee to earn my degree.
