Bobby All Hospitalized

According to the Singing News site, Bobby All has been hospitalized for a severe infection and is currently in ICU.  We all need to remember his family in our prayers.  All is one of the foremost guitarists in the SG studio scene, and has been for quite a number of years.  You’d be surprised by looking at your CD inserts how many different artists with whom he has recorded.  If you can help his family, please do.

Bobby All played on and/or produced a couple of projects my dad was part of back in the 1980s. Bobby co-wrote a song or two with one of the other group members. My dad always said that he was extremely talented. I’ll be praying for Bobby and his family.

  2. Jimmy All says:

    To All:

First our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts,
prayers and phone calls concerning our dad. Our dad has been blessed
with some of the most caring and thoughtful friends anyone could ever
ask for. It has amazed us how much all of you care and we can not
thank you enough for everything you all have done for him.
Right now we are looking for him to have a tracheotomy done
today. They have not said a time, but all his doctors have agreed
that the procedure would be best for him. This would not be permenant
and when taken out would heal in four to five days. While the
tracheotomy is in he will not be able to talk or eat solid foods. He
is having a very difficult time breathing on his own due to his size
and the damage done from other complications of the sepsis. The
tracheotomy will help eliminate some of the pressure put on his heart
and lungs. When he is medically able he will be leaving the ICU
department at Summit Medical and will be going straight to a
rehabilitation clinic here in Nashville. We have no time frame for
him to be leaving Summit, nor do we know how long he will be in the
rehabilitation clinic. It is all up to how well he adjusts to the
tracheotomy and if it does help alleviate the pressure on his heart
and lungs as to when he is able to leave Summit.
We found out that he did not have insurance on the day he was taken
to Summit. They are working to put him on either disability or
temporary Tenn Care. Temporary Tenn Care will only cover the stay at
the hospital and the rehab clinic no home health or doctor visits
later down the road. So we are praying that whomever makes the final
decision at the Social Security office will deem him disabled to help
care for dad in the way he needs and deserves to be taken care of.
Our interview with the Social Security Office is set for May 21st.
Working with John Moore, the branch manager at the SunTrust branch in
Donelson, we have set up an account for him. It is listed under James
All and Mark All for the Benefit of Robert All. The address for the
bank is 2503 Lebanon Pike Nashville Tennessee 37214.

Again there is no way we may thank you enough for your thoughts and
    prayers for our dad.

      Jimmy,
Could you please contact me. It had been some time since your dad and I was able to talk and I didn’t even know he was sick. I know what you are going through, I lost my dad (Larry Jackson) in 2004. It is a very hard thing and the only thing that helped me was I knew he was home with the Lord (As I know Bobby is) and is not suffering anymore. I heard that there might be another memorial service and if so I would like to make arrangements to attend. Please, if there is anything I can do just let me know. Bobby made a tremendous impact on my life not only as a musician, but as a person. I would really like to speak with you if you could contact me. You are all in my prayers! God Bless
      Thank you,
      Respectfully,
      Derrick Jackson

  9. Bobby
Played on 3 of my songs Glitter for Gold. I was just looking to find some pics of him to add to my MYSPACE page. Bobby’s playing really set the mood for Loves Song on my album. I am saddened by his passing and you definitely have mine and my wife Condolences. God Bless you all

  10. Derrick Jackson says:

To Jimmy or Mark or any other family member, let me first say how deeply saddened I am to hear of Bobby’s passing. I have known Bobby for over 30 years and I can honestly say their will never be another Bobby All. It had been a while since we had the time to talk to one another and I really did not realize that he was even sick. He made a tremendous impact on my life not only as a musician but as a person. I will truly miss him!
I would appreciate it if someone could contact me because I heard that there might be another memorial service held in his honor. I would like to know so I could make arrangements to attend. If there is any other way I could help the family please let me know. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all!

  12. Roger & Brenda Peters says:

Rest in peace Bobby All ! We both loved you dearly.
And now, my man, you’re pickin’ for the big choir .

To Bobby’s family, lean on the Lord and you’ll find yourself even closer to Bobby, because that is where Bobby is now!

We live in Kingsport, Tennessee off Orebank Road, just one-half mile from where Bobby and his family lived for years. Bobby was co-producer and musician on several projects that we made (along with Rick Salyer). Both were dear friends!

First of all, I was saddened to read of Bobby’s passing. I’m trying to contact his manager or family. SoundExchange (www.soundexchange.com) is holding featured artist digital performance royalties for Bobby. Can someone forward a contact for the family to me? Thanks.
