The poem, "The World Is Mine" does take up a decent amount of time, but the song itself is at a pretty slow tempo too. I think the song itself is a bit shorter, so that makes up a bit of the difference so that it isn't as long as it might be. I had the choir do an arrangement of this song last Sunday (it is a faster tempo out of a Gaither book)(we have most every Thanksgiving for the past few years). I like the sentiment of the song, but I prefer songs like Everywhere I Go, Rivers of Joy, and We Shall See Jesus, It's So Peaceful and I'm Going Home Someday on that CD better. At first I liked this arrangement of We Shall See Jesus the best, but later liked what they did with it at the end with the must faster tempo and more bombastic. :-)

The poem "Forgive Me When I Whine" George does before the song is pretty good. That's what takes up most of the time.

Great song. I think Greater Vision recorded this song a few years ago. They used it as their opening song at a few concerts I attended.

I sang with Ed prior to, and after The Stamps in the Canadian group, The King James Version. He had a great voice. He ended up doing studio back-up singing, and television work. He was a "pro" and great to work with - willing to even try the "high bass stuff that was being sung in thoise days by the likes of Noel Fox of The Oak Ridge Boys" etc. Ed was much better at a double low "C". I miss him.

The person that should leave the vocal band is Bill Gaither, it will always be his band, his voice just isn't up to the others.

As far as EHSS and their momentum, I think they've developed a fairly decent fan base away from the Gaither "groupies". They will be fine.

One thing that will be an interesting development is if they will eventually change recording labels as well...My initial guess would be definitely not, but you just never know.

Thanks for the review, Nate. I was at the Richmond concert the night before and looooooved the song Charlotte Ritchie and Sonya and Becky Isaacs sang, but I didn't know what it was called. I would love for that song with those ladies to make it onto a Homecoming CD.

Thank you Katie. Speaking of Casting Crowns, they will be in Aiken, SC (which is about 30-45 minutes from Augusta) on November 27th.
