White River Reunites This Weekend
February 7, 2012 3 Comments
I’ve never been a follower of Christian Country music, but this was shared with me, so for those of you readers who also have followed the Christian Country genre, this is for you.
Former CCMA Group of the Year White River (known previously as Jubilation) is reuniting for a series of concerts this weekend. Personnel of the group were (and are): Bruce Haynes, Gene Reasoner (who wrote the song “He Didn’t Throw The Clay Away”), Bob Ashley, Jr Bradford, and Benny Wood.
There are three reunion shows scheduled:
Feb 10, Lifepoint Church, Lebanon, MO
Feb 11, Faith Family Church, Fredricktown, MO
Feb 12, New Life Temple, Hollister, MO
If you were a fan of the group back in the day and you’re close to one of these venues, be sure to check out the reunion!
I did like some of their stuff back in the day. Didn’t their drummer sing some leads?
Hi… My husband and I really loved White River “back in the day”! Wish they were coming to Arkansas!
Funny how we were just discussing them tonight, finding an old tape…and wishing for some more of their music…
And, looking for the lyrics to the song that says “Who’s gonna take their place when they’re gone”….
Can anyone help with where to get their music? email: mwjpdj@gmail.com
Thanks!!
God Bless You!
PJ
We bought our first cassette of White River from a yard sale. We have lost this cassette between letting family members use it. We really enjoyed the words and the sound that comes from this band. If anyone knows where to purchase their music at then please get with me at deb1567@yahoo.com. I am in need of getting another CD or cassette from White River,
