Daybreak Quartet Offering Free Download Of Hymns CD

Daybreak Quartet, who has recently been in the spotlight as their tenor, Joel Wood, just left to join the Mark Trammell Trio, has a pretty remarkable offer.  They are actually giving away downloads of their newest CD, Hymns, on their website.  You can find their site here, and the link to download the CD is here.  This is a pretty inventive idea, the deal is you have to send 3 people an email with the download link to get the full CD, or you can get 5 songs (half of the CD) without sending anything.  It’s basically using some viral marketing strategies (no, that doesn’t mean they are trying to infect your PC with a computer virus! <g>) to get their name out, which isn’t a bad idea at all.  I was pretty impressed with the few tracks I got to listen to over the weekend, be looking for a full review sometime soon.
