OK, is this song really too recent to be called a “hidden” gem? Yeah, since it’s on the group’s most recent studio recording (We Still Believe) and their recently released live album (Your Ticket To Music Hall), probably so. However, their version of this classic song by Neil Enloe needs to be highlighted. The song features the three oldest kids: Brooklyn, Courtney, and Phil Jr. The first verse is handled by Phil Jr, the second by Courtney, with group vocals led by Phil Jr. on the chorus. The greatest thing about their version of this song is the incredible updating of the song to a progressive feel, instead of the traditional country feel given to the song by groups like The Cathedrals and The Downings. The harmonies are incredibly smooth, these 3 kids have a very natural blend, and are more than capable of pulling off some fairly complex harmonies. After the second chrous, the key changes and Brooklyn takes the lead, with the harmonies stacked below her. This is a simply marvelous arrangement of a classic song. Give it a listen!
