SG Goes Hollywood

According to a fascinating post over at SGN, apparently the new movie “W.” features the Blackwood Brothers singing “I’m Winging My Way Back Home” as the closing credits of the movie roll, and even made it onto the soundtrack CD, confirmed by the listing on Amazon.  According to the article on SGHistory.com, it was recorded in 1968 on the All Day Singing LP featuring Bill Shaw, James Blackwood, Cecil Blackwood, and London Parris.  I find it astonishing that a major studio would include an SG song in a movie that is not overtly religious.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s great exposure, I’m just a little surprised by the source.  I’d also be interested to hear what the recording quality is like?  Was it obviously pulled off vinyl, or was it totally remastered?
