According to several sources, Jerry Ritchie passed away after a long bout with cancer. He was the father of Greg Ritchie, who until recently was the drummer for Jeff and Sheri Easter, and father-in-law to Charlotte. Jerry was the original lead singer with Gold City, and sang lead on their first big hit, “In My Robe Of White”. My first major SG concert was when I was about 5 years old, and my dad took me to Coonskin Park in Charleston, WV to hear Gold City. The group at the time was Brian Free, Ivan Parker (who hadn’t been there long), Jerry Ritchie, and Tim Riley.
