The Southern Gospel world has been shocked today by the news of Dottie Rambo’s tragic death in a bus accident. Please be in prayer for her manager, Larry Ferguson, who remains in critical condition at last report. Dottie was one of the most legendary singer/songwriters in our genre, and her list of accomplishments and songs would stretch for miles. We have truly lost another legend. There will never be another Dottie Rambo.
Update: Please also be in prayer for all those injured. In all there were 7 people on the bus, and all sustained varying degrees of injuries.

I was so saddened to hear this news on the way the church yesterday. I grew up singing her nusic that she wrote for children and she was always one of my favorite’s! She will be deeply missed by the Christian music community. But how glorious Heaven must be now with her voice praising her God along with the Saints.
I was so saddened to hear of Dottie Rambo’s death but praising the Lord for her life. I was about 11 or 12 yrs. of age the first time I heard the “Singing Rambo’s” in person @ the Music Hall in Cincinanti, Ohio. She made such an impact on my life. Her music and songs. Her life in general. What an amazing woman! I like so many have sung her songs throughout my life and have been touched in such a glorious way. I never had the privalege to talk with her but someday I will. Her life and legacy will go on through Reba, her grandchildren and their children to come. WOW! what a christian legacy to leave!
I use to be called little Dottie growing up, singing her songs. What a compliment! I know she is shouting on the hills of glory today! I believe that when that bus went off the road, she was Sheltered in the Arms of God and felt no pain. I believe she just went to sleep in his arms and woke up in glory!!The Holy Hills of Heaven called her and she went home to be with Jesus, after all, it’s spring! She now will sing” I Shall Behold Him” Oh, my, what a glorious time that must be . I have loved ones there too and I know today there is probably one big singing and shouting jubilee!!Praise God! Thank you Lord for Dottie Rambo and Lord please be with Reba and family and friends! We all love her and will miss her but we thank you for sharing her with all of us these years. Thank you Dottie!!
I AM SADDENED BY HER DEATH BUT I AM MORE EXCITED ABOUT HER ETERNAL LIFE. WHAT A GLORIOUS TIME FOR ANYONE WHO MAKES IT INTO THE PEARLY GATES, THERE IS NOTHING MORE SPECIAL. GLORY BE TO GOD. WE MISS THE EARTHLY THINGS OF DOTTIE AND HOW SHE HELPED PEOPLE THINK ABOUT WHERE THEY WILL SPEND ETERNITY BUT HER JOURNEY IS NOW COMPLETE - THANK GOD SHE WAS ON THE CHRISTIAN BANDWAGON AND WAITING TO MEET HER SAVIOR.

When I Saw Dottie Sing”We Shall Behold Him” And Doing The Sign Language While Singing This Song I Thought It Was The Most Beautiful Sight I Had Ever Seen. I Loved This Song And It Was Beautiful. I Am So Sad About Her Death And Will Miss Her And Seeing Her Singing Those Wonderful Songs She Wrote And Left With Us. Let Us Sing Glory And Praise To Our God For Lending Her To Us For Awhile With Her Beautiful Voice And Songs. She Can Rest In Peace Now And Suffer No More Pains In Heaven With Our Lord. God, Be With Reba And All Of The Families Of Dotties At This Time For The Loss Of Their Sweet Loved One. I Pray This In The Name Of Jesus Our Lord. Amen
