Pillars Of Faith 2008

Brandon at Coomer Cove posted a YouTube video of Gold City singing “He Sent Me Running”, one of the deep album cuts from Pillars Of Faith. I called Pillars Of Faith one of Southern Gospel’s versions of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds or the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper. I’m not sure that this has ever been done in any genre, much less SG, but I for one would be interested in hearing the current Gold City lineup, which is now totally different than GC ’92, rerecord and rerelease Pillars Of Faith. Being the landmark album that it is, I think it would be an interesting project. Even better would be to release a double CD of the album. Once using the original arrangements and backing tracks with the current vocalists, followed by an updated version with new arrangements and tracks. To me, it would make for an interesting project, and something that would be unique, but what do you think?
